The Delta State Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye accompanied by his counterpart in the Special Duties Ministry, Chief Henry Sakpra and the Permanent Secretary of Works, Mr. Edafeoghor on Friday January 20th visited Ovwian Community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Our Delta North Correspondent reports that Chief Augoye visit was to ascertain the state of the Ovwian Road, was received warmly by the people of the community.
Addressing the people, he assured them of the desire of the State Government to commence work on the Ovwian Road and also complete all projects being executed in Udu Local Government Area by the State Government, including the Harbour Market and the General Hospital amongst others.
Responding, the President General of Udu Union of Communities, Chief Steve Sokoh, expressed appreciation to the State Government for the projects being executed in the area, even as he thanked the Commissioner for the visit and appealed for more infrastructural development in Udu Local Government Area. He assured the State Government of the continued support of the people.
Other community leaders present were: Chief Agbi, Dcn. Austin Kpoko, Chief Fred Kaka, including women and youths.
