NAF Commander commends Customs for uncovering smuggled 661 Rifles

The Commander, 61 Nigeria Air Force, NAF Detachment, Warri, Air Commodore Sani. A. Zakari has commended the Nigeria Customs Service over the discovery of 661 smuggled AK 47 Rifles reportedly manufactured in Turkey and imported from China.

Air Commodore Zakari gave the commendation Wednesday February 1 in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle International at the Osubi Airstrip near Warri, Delta State.

The Air Force Chief who admonished Delta youths to support government and constituted authorities at all times so as to have a  brighter future, stated that there was improved working synergy between Service Chiefs cutting across the DSS, Army, Air Force, Navy and Police.

According to him, the corporation was evident when Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his delegation visited Delta State as part of the Federal Government fact-finding tour of communities in Niger Delta.

He disclosed that the Air Force embarked on joint patrols with the Army, Navy, Police and DSS to ensure a peaceful atmosphere during the visit.
