The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has presented cheques of Nineteen Million, One Hundred and Fifty Thousand, Four Hundred and Seventy-seven naira, Eighty-Seven kobo (N19,150,477.87k) to the families of six deceased Police officers in Kogi State.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer SP William Ovye Aya who disclosed this in a statement sent to our Correspondent on Tuesday noted that the State Commissioner of Police Bethrand Onuoha presented the cheques on behalf of the IGP in Lokoja.
According to the statement, the gesture is part of Group Life Assurance Scheme aimed at improving the welfare of the families of the deceased Police Officers.
The statement while quoting the Commissioner of Police appreciated the IGP’s efforts in reducing the hardship faced by families of the fallen heroes.
The statement urged the beneficiaries to make use of the money for the betterment of their families.
