The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, has dismissed possible challenges that could frustrate his administration’s resolve to clean-up and beautify Warri South Local Government Area, saying: “We are not focused on the challenges, but the solutions. Challenges, like we all know, are an integral part of life. We take them as they come. Ours as a government, is to be exemplary.”

Comr. Agbateyiniro, made the declaration Monday August 12, when he conducted the Special Adviser to Delta State Governor (Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori) on Environment, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, round ongoing clean-up exercise, being embarked upon by his administration across major roads, streets and markets in Warri.
The Warri South Local Government Boss, averred: “We will show the world how a neat and clean environment ought to look like. It will be morally justifiable to now go to Wafarians and say, because the environment is clean in this manner, please keep your environment clean.
“We believe if we approach it in this manner, people will definitely key in. But if taken the other way round, they may not understand. As recommended by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, we will look for receptacles, place them at strategic places and make vehicles available to lift and transport them. When all of these have been put in place, we may not even need to tell the citizens to be compliant.”

Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, for a job well done so far. I want to emphasize on proper waste disposal. We have to encourage recycling. Because the recycling process can be difficult, considering the waste materials common in this environment, we need to encourage collaboration with recycling companies.”
