Court invalidates election of Etchie led exco, creation of interim caretaker committee for Ugbajo Itsekiri USA

The Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, has invalidated the January 16, 2021, purported elections of Toju Etchie and others as executive officers of Ugbajo Itsekiri USA, Fresh Angle International, has gathered.

The Court in Case No. 2021-CA-2980-B, consolidated with No. 2021-CA-2187-B, also nullified the September 5, 2020 purported creation of the Interim Caretaker Committee.

The now invalidated Caretaker Committee, was created at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Ugbajo Itsekiri USA, Inc.

Document sighted by This Soaring International Tabloid, indicated that the presiding Judge, Neal E. Kravitz, in the case which was between UGBAJO ITSEKIRI USA INC. (Plaintiffs) and BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (Defendants) ordered: “All elections conducted by the Onuwaje faction in and after September 2021 have been legally valid;

“The executive officers who were in office in the period leading up to the meeting of the board of directors of Ugbajo on September 5, 2020, as well as those who were elected in subsequent elections conducted by the Onuwaje faction in and after September 2021, have been, and are, the proper executive officials of Ugbajo and have been, and are, the only executive officials who have been legally authorized to represent Ugbajo and to act on its behalf since September 5, 2020; and

“Toju Etchie, Oti Uku Nwosu, and the person purportedly elected as Ugbajo’s treasurer on January 16, 2021 had no legal authority in 2021 to change the signatories on Ugbajo's bank accounts or to remove or transfer funds from Ugbajo’s accounts.

“Judgment is entered in favor of plaintiff Ugbajo Itsekiri USA, Inc. and against defendants Toju Etchie and Oti Uku Nwosu on the tortious interference with contractual relations claim alleged in Count 6 of the amended complaint in the amount of $23,000.00 plus interest at the statutory rate from the date of this order.”
