The Vice President of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN South-South, Comr. Innocent Ayayi, has charged the new local government chairmen of NYCN in Delta State, to do what is right as all times.
Fresh Angle International, can report that Comr. Ayayi, gave the charge at Asaba, Delta State, Friday March 28 while inaugurating the new chairmen that would pilot the activities of National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN in the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta State.
He stated: “It is our duty as ambassadors of youth to do what is right, I want you to have something in mind that people are looking up to you, the way you people are looking up to us.
“You must put in your best to do voluntary work in various capacity and you must not be president or a governor to be a leader. Your capacity make you a leader.
“If there is one thing I dislike, is the issue of cultism. Let us do what is right. On behalf of the National President, I hereby dissolve the outgone executive of the local government councils of NYCN and new local government coordinators have emerged.”
The newly inaugurated chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Warri South Chapter, Comr. Destiny Tuoma Noritsegho, in his response, stated: “There’s an African proverb that has guided our forefathers: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. At its heart, this simple yet deep wisdom speaks a universal truth to all Nigerians: one person can achieve speed, but collective effort unlocks unimaginable progress. When we go alone, unburdened by collaboration, we move very fast.

“We may think that we have it all, and that we are winning. But the truth is, this success is superficial, because speed has limits. Burnout, tunnel vision, or unforeseen obstacles can stall even the most determined solo traveler. Now consider what happens when we walk together as a people. Imagine what happens when we hold each other’s hands, not seeing ourselves as the enemy, but rather, as a team, a nation, a unit.
“The shoulders bear burdens lighter when carried by many. Life’s greatest triumphs is when, together, we pool our strengths, compensate for weaknesses, and inspire one another to persist when the road gets long, bumpy and buffeting. We must understand as a nation that our greatest enemy is disunity.
“The broom sweeps the floor better when the sticks are bound together. A marathon runner may sprint alone, but it’s the relay team that crosses borders. When we collaborate, we plant seeds for forests we may never sit under. We build bridges for future generations to cross. We can leave a lasting legacy for our children to follow. So let us ask ourselves: What do we value more—speed, or sustainability? Achievement, or impact?
“In a world that often celebrates “fast,” let’s remember that “far” is where true transformation lies. Let’s choose to walk together, lift each other, and go far—because the journeys that matter most are never meant to be traveled alone because together, we can go further.
“As a new phase dawns for us Nigerian youth in the great Warri South Local Government Area, we must confront our common enemy - self - and embrace our new inspiration - unity. Even the Sovereign of the universe had chipped in, in His majestic, all-knowing candour, There is nothing these people united in purpose cannot achieve for themselves" (Gen. 11:6). We are set to sail.”
