The Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress, APC, Ogidigben Ward 10 in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Lucky Ajekerenbiaghan, has dismissed claim by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Ama Edema, saying the APC membership registration of Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, was a collective decision by the Ward and LGA leadership of the party.
Recall that the APC Ogidigben Ward 10 Chairman, Mr. Ama Edema, had in an exclusive interview with Fresh Angle International, Tuesday May 6, said the APC membership card the member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, picked, was not from Ogidigben Ward 10, adding that he didn’t know who issued the membership card.
Edema, was quick to add: “I have nothing personal against him (Chief Thomas Ereyitomi) he is my elder brother.”
But in a swift reaction, Imagemaker of the Ward, Lucky Ajekerenbiaghan, noted: “I am mandated by the majority of the Executive committee, to correct the impression and wrong representation of facts by Mr Ama Edema, the APC ward chairman on the video and press statement released to the public through Fresh Angle media 6th may 2025.
“In-line with instruction of Delta State APC Chairman and his Exco to register all willing decampees from PDP unconditionally, the vast majority of ward executive, was informed by Warri South-West LGA Chairman, Mr. Collins Ebieto, who happens to be from the same Ogidigben Ward 10, that Hon. (Chief) Thomas Ereyitomi, member representing the good people of Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, who recently decamped along with the governor of Delta State to APC, expressed his interest to register in the ward, since he is from the same Ogidigben Ward 10, Warri South-West.
“We agreed to immediately register him to our great party, in-line with the instruction of the party, except Mr Ama Edema, the Ward Chairman, who attempted to stall the registration, for a so-called personal rift and scores to settle.
“The Secretary, Mr Charles Ogun and all other exco members of the ward, were on ground and approved of the registration of our leader, Hon. (Chief) Thomas Ereyitomi.

“To this end, all other ward Exco members present now beacon on our leader, the LGA Chairman, Mr Collins Ebieto, who also was the immediate past ward chairman, to register our great leader, Hon. (Chief) Thomas Ereyitomi into the party, since the party registration process is not an avenue to settle personal purported scores.
“Let it be known to the general public that, registration of new members is not the exclusive right of Mr Ama Edema (ward chairman) but majority of the Executive and party leaders in the ward.
“It is evident in his press video when asked by the interviewer if he had discussed or complained to any of the party Executive structure before rushing to the press, he simply said a big No. This exposes his sinister motives to create problems in the ward, how can a ward chairman not consult or complain to his ward leaders, LGA, State and federal Executive organs of the party, if he is genuine? We have been managing his rascal and high handedness behaviour at ward level for the interest of peace, but he has done it in the open by himself.
“We want to sincerely apologize to the good people and entire members of APC Ogidigben Ward 10, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, LGA Exco, State Exco, Governor of Delta State and The President Federal Republic of Nigeria, for the embarrassment the press interview may have caused, it does not represent our behaviour, Mr Ama Edema acted on his own.
“The vast majority of APC Ogidigben Ward 10 Warri South West Delta State, is loyal and committed to the party and will carry out all lawful instruction from the party organs in-line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President.”
