US-based Opuoru, highlights importance of Oborevwori’s relationship with FG, promises to attract investments to Delta

Warri-born United States-based, Desmond Opuoru, says Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s political alliance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would create employment opportunities and fast-track infrastructural development in Delta State.

Opuoru, who had on May 31, 2024, in an exclusive telephone chat with Fresh Angle International, expressed optimism that Governor Oborevwori, would scale up his all - round development of Delta State in the years to come, noted that the security situation in the oil and gas-rich state, has improved considerably in the last two years.

Speaking to This Newspaper, Wednesday September 3 via online chat, Desmond Opuoru, stated: “Deltans should know that there is no Nation, that is 100 percent secured, the ability to reduce the insecurity, makes you a perfect leader. When you see improvement in what the Governor has done, applaud him.”

While promising to tell his fellow Nigerians in diaspora to invest at home, particularly in Delta State, Opuoru added: “I am a community man, I relate with my people in New York, hence attracting investments back home, is a no-brainer.

“Governor Oborevwori, was brought up traditionally, he knows exactly what he’s doing, hanging around the federal government, is the best decision he has taken, in order for us to have employment and some other infrastructure in Delta State.

“From Asaba to Warri, the road is fantastic. When driving from Asaba to Warri, you will know that somebody constructed the road and I am very pleased with the Governor’s performance thus far.”

He added: “The peace in Warri and Delta state as a whole, is in progress. One of the most powerful things that have happened to Warri, is the Warri South Local Government Chairman, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac.

“The Chairman is a fantastic leader, he knows how to relate with the people, he goes straight to the grassroots, he is not somebody that raises shoulder. Anywhere you call him, he attends. I have seen how he operates with people. It is very difficult to satisfy everybody, but the ability to satisfy 70 to 80 percent of people, is a pass mark.

“Governor sheriff should continue his good works, because what he is doing is fantastic.

“To Deltans living outside Nigeria, please we have to come back home, there is no place like home, the security situation has improved.”
