Renowned philanthropist and Security Expert, Dr. Shola Mese, says his swearing in as Justice of Peace, JP, is a thing of joy and call for more service to humanity.

Fresh Angle International, can report that Dr. Mese, made the assertion Friday February 13, shortly after he and over 20 other persons were sworn in as Justice for Peace by His Lordship, Hon. Justice C.E. Achilefu at the High Court of Justice, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

 

Whilst noting that their responsibilities include reducing workload on Judges, Dr. Mese, stated: “It is an opportunity to help the less privilege, the oppressed and innocent people, who have been sent to jail.

“We are here to assist the Judges to dispense justice and make recommendation when and where necessary. We are also expected to explore ways of settling matters, that do not need to go to court, so as to decongest the courts. It’s a great privilege and I promise to do my best.”

Speaking earlier, Hon. Justice C.E. Achilefu, thanked Delta State Governor, Rt.Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for deeming the new JPs fit and proper for the exalted position.

“The Justice of Peace stand out in the society as an honourable person and as such, you must act honourably and in so doing, you are entitled to add the suffix JP to your name.

You must stand out tall in honour. May your tenure be marked by integrity, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to do justice to all and sundry.
