Emerging political pressure group, Itsekiri Grassroots Coalition, IGC, says the Senator Representing Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Onowakpor Joel Thomas and the Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency, Chief (Dr.) Thomas Ereyitomi, have failed in terms of legislative representation.

Fresh Angle International, can report that the National Coordinator of IGC, Dr. Edema Collins Oritsetimeyin, made the declaration in Warri, Delta State, during the 5th Congress of the group.

Dr. Edema, who disclosed that the Itsekiri Grassroots Coalition, is in consultation to determine the aspirant to support for Delta South Senatorial Seat, ahead of the 2027 polls, stated: “A candidate has been identified in Warri Federal Constituency and will be unveiled at the appropriate time."

While vowing to stop the third term bid of Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, IGC, urged the leadership of Ijaws of Warri South-West Local Government Area, to bring another aspirant or candidate, to replace Rt. Hon. Guwor, “if they want to retain the seat and desire the Itsekiri votes in the 2027 general elections.”

According to IGC, Rt. Hon. Guwor, has turned the position of Speaker of the State House of Assembly, “into one of stoking tension and scoring ethnic political goals, against perceived enemies.”
