Ahead of 2019 general election, the Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka kingdom in Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Air Vice Marhshal, Lucky Ochuko Ararile, Avwaeki 1 has cautioned against the choice of leaders in the country.
The Monarch gave this advise during his 5th coronation anniversary which was celebrated weekend. He said the governed are bound to suffer with bad leadership if they choose wrongly, which Nigeria has been experiencing over the years. “I wish to advise Nigerians to be careful on the choice of leaders, because it will determine if they will have a better living.”
He said, his years on the throne have been a blessing, as the kingdom has experienced tremendous growth and development, especially in the area of cassava project and peace building. He thanked Delta State Government for its support in the growth of the kingdom and appealed for the State Government to provide link Roads to Oria/Urhuagbesa as well as establish companies to employ the teeming youths in the area.
In his address, Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who was represented by the Commissioner for Bureau, Special Duties, Governor’s Office, Barr. Ernest Ogwezzy said something will be done as he will take the kingdom’s requests to the governor for possible action.
