Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Umar Imam says the current sixth Assembly in the state has passed a total of 251 resolutions within two years.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Alhaji Imam disclosure Monday June 5 at the special sitting to mark the closure of the second legislative session.
He said the current lawmakers have tried to strengthen democratic principles through quality legislation.
The Speaker called on Governor Yahaya Bello to ascent to the House of Assembly Service Commission bill.
Earlier, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello promised to sustain his respect for the rule of law and the principle of separation of power, saying such measure would allow for checks and balance.
