Fomer lawmaker in Warri South Local Government Council Legislative Arm and Image Maker of Okere Community, Warri, Hon. David Eyitemi Oki says he is not a political prostitute, but has remained in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP since inception without changing from one political aspiration to another.
Hon. Oki who is eyeing the Warri South Chairmanship position in the forthcoming Delta State Local Government election, told Our Senior Correspondent in an exclusive chat in Warri that if given the mandate to occupy the council’s plum job, he will focus on areas such as educational development, agriculture, youth and women empowerment and security of lives as well as properties.
The grassroots politician, socielite cum legal practitioner described Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as his role model.
He likened his political career to that of Governor Okowa, who began his political ascendency from a Local Government Councillor to Chairman, SSG, Senator and now Chief Executive of Delta State.
The ex-lawmaker and former Supervisory Coucillor appealed to PDP leaders in Warri South and other stakeholders to support his chairmanship ambition.
