Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has jokingly accused his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro and the Delta State PDP Deputy Chairman, Barr. Ada Val Arenyeka of partiality in the way they turned out enmasse alongside other leaders of the party for the formal handover of flag to Warri South PDP Chairmanship candidate, Comrade Michael Tidi.

Governor Okowa declared, “All Warri, na Warri, so my Deputy Governor dey take style do partial. He has always been busy on official assignments in other campaigns, but he found out time to attend that of Warri South. The Deputy Chairman (of PDP) do partial also, this is the first flag off I am seeing him”.

Dr. Okowa charged PDP faithful to go and prove “like you did at the House of Assembly (in the 2017 Warri South Constituency 1 bye-election) election that this is our town”.

While stressing the need for peace to be sustained in Warri area in order to attract the return of International Oil Companies, IOCs, Dr. Okowa expressed optimism that the revenue profile of the State will increase in 2018 and more people will be empowered.

Immediate past Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, the member representing Warri South constituency 2 in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Dennis Omovie, Delta State PDP Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso and Chief Joseph Otumara were among party chieftains who spoke briefly at the well-attended event, boasting that there is no other political party in Warri South Local Government Area in particular and Delta State at large.

Barr. Esiso averred that the PDP want to win the January 6, 2018 Local Government poll without “writing names”, even as Dr. Uduaghan assured the Warri South Chairmanship hopeful, Michael Tidi that they will help him sell his programmes to people of the Local Government in the build-up to the poll.

Our Correspondents report that Governor Okowa presented PDP flag to Comrade Michael Tidi, who was flanked by his Vice, Mrs. Ann Iniovosa.
