The District Governor-Elect of District 9141 of Rotary International, Rotarian Adeyemi Oladokun has revealed that the star project of the District in 2018/2019 will be Rotary Referral Hospital, which will take care of Renal Cardiac and Oncology treatment at affordable cost.

Rotr. Oladokun, whose district covers Edo, Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa States, noted that with support from individuals, Rotary Foundation and well meaning bodies, his leadership will be able to execute additional 102 projects across the four states as part of activities to celebrate 102 years of Rotary Foundation.

He described Rotary as one of the best organized associations in the world, adding that water projects and welfare for Rotarians will be given adequate attention, just as he disclosed that the theme for 2018/2019 Rotary year is “be the Inspiration”.

The Rotary DG-Elect enjoined Rotarians to be committed and noted that there are about 60 committees in the team he is to work with for the upcoming Rotary year, beginning July 2018.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the District Team Training seminar which commenced Friday February 2 at Jubilee Hotel and Retreat Centre, Warri, will be rounded off Saturday February 3.

In a brief chat with the Vice Chairman, Polio Plus Committee in Nigeria and past DG, Rotr. Charles Lawani, he averred that Polio is 99.9% fought in Nigeria by Rotary with the support of other corporate organizations.
