New Rotary Club President, Douglas assures of commissioning of Ogunu Health Centre

The newly installed 2020/2021 President of Rotary Club of Ogunu, under District 9141, Rotarian Klem Douglas, has assured that he and members of his Board, would work towards the commissioning of the ongoing renovation of Ogunu Health Centre, valued at 5million naira, excluding the provision of ambulance.

 

He gave the assurance in Warri, Sunday September 27, during his installation as the 3rd President of Rotary Club of Ogunu.

Rtn. Douglas, who became a charter member od Rotary Club of Ogunu in 2018, noted that he understands what it means to give helping hands to the needy.

The Shipping agent, who has functioned in various capacity in the martime industry with various companies, said he was proud to be a Rotarian.

 

The Immediate Past President of Rotary Club of Ogunu, Rtn. Ayodele Enikanselu, thanked the District Governor for his guidance and encouragement, even as he commended members of the Club for their support.

 

While stating that his Board achieved almost all they set out for themselves in the 2019/2020 Rotary Year, Rtn. Enikanselu, mentoned increase in membership, renovation of Ogunu Health Centre, Back-to-School Programme, Polio Awareness Campaign and distribution of Mobility Devices to indigent people, as some of the achivements of his Board in the past Rotary year.

The Assistant Governor, Zone 9, Rtn. Gordon Duku, in a Rotary Talk, spoke on the need for Rotarians to bother about their members, whether new or old, just as he outlined reasons why people should join Rotary.

 

Highlights of the colourful event were the presentation of awards to deserving Rotarians, Induction of the 2020/2021 Board Members of Rotary Club of Ogunu and launching of the Club Projects for the year/ Sergeant-at-Arms performance.
