The National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG has commended Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL for donating Hybrid Library to Ubeji Grammar School, Warri, saying it’s in tandem with the high premium it places on issues that bother on the educational advancement of young Itsekiris.

The Itsekiri graduates’ body in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International Monday November 21, tasked the Oil and Gas Major, Chevron to give proper attention to the maintenance of the library facility so as to ensure that the essence of the project is achieved.

The statement which was signed by NAIG President, Comrade Collins Oritsetimeyin Edema applauded Chevron for the appointment of Mr. Esimaje Brikinn as its new General Manager, PGPA, expressing optimism that it “will go a long way in helping to smoothen the relationship between Chevron and her host communities,” adding, “this is the first time someone from the host communities of CNL is occupying this position.”

NAIG enjoined Mr. Brikinn to as a matter of urgency look into pending issues such as conversion of VTP5/OTP2 Trainees affecting Itsekiri graduates as well as work towards employment opportunities for them in departments like Human Resources, Legal, Finance and Procurement.
