Member representing Kabba-Bunu State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Kolawole Matthew has debunked reports claiming he is planning to dump Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Our Kogi State Correspondent reports.

Media Assistant to Kolawole, Anthony Oloniruha, made this known in a chat with journalist in Lokoja.

He attributed the defection rumour to activities of political jobbers and detractors who are bent on creating issues where there is none.

“I am not surprised at the new attempt by mischief makers to malign Prince Kolawole Matthew, the Majority Leader of Kogi State House of Assembly. It is not new. Few days ago they came up with a story that he collected N48million from the State Government and share same to Hon. members of the Kogi State House of Assembly to facilitate 2017 budget passage”, he said.

“After they had failed woefully to curry public opinion against Hon. Prince Kolawole Matthew about the bribery allegation saga, they have managed to wriggle out of their subdued cocoons to fabricate another pseudo fallacy that the Majority Leader is defecting to APC along with four other PDP Lawmakers.

Prince Kolawole has high regards for the leadership of his party, the People’s Democratic Party and platform that gave him a rare privilege to serve his people.

For clarity purpose, Hon. Prince Kolawole Matthew has not considered nor confided in anyone that he is defecting to the All Progressives Congress”, APC.
