The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Delta State Command has destroyed about 63,000 litres of diesel and other crude oil products in Ugbegungun, Escravos in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State.
Our Senior Correspondent reports that the operation conducted on the orders of the Delta State Commandant of NSCDC, Beatrice Irabor was carried out at about 6:00am Wednesday June 7.
While admonishing Deltans to stop illegal bunkering which is sabotaging the economy, Commandant Beatrice Irabor enjoined residents of the area to desist from illegal bunkering, warning that the Command will not hesitate to destroy any illegal refining site discovered in the State.

The Delta State NSCDC Armed Squad Commander, Odigie revealed that the suspects behind the illegal refining site at Ugbegungun had ran away when Officers and Men of NSCDC carried out the operation, just as he noted that Delta State is no longer safe haven for illegal bukerers.
