Delta State Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Prophet Jones Ode Erue will on Monday July 23, inaugurate other members of the state executive committee amid claims by Chief Cyril Ogodo that he's the duly elected chairman of APC in Delta State.
Prophet Jones Erue who is backed by APC leaders like Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Chief Great Ogboru was sworn in as Delta State APC Chairman on Monday July 16 at Abuja by the party's National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
The leadership crisis in the party has been a subject of litigation, with Chief Cyril Ogodo ,who is backed by Olorogun O'Tega Emerhor insisting he is the authentic chairman.
A statement purportedly released Thursday July 19 by Prophet Erue stated inter-alia "only executive members who were products of the congresses conducted by Alhaji Sanni Dododo and Senator Olugbenga Obadara" should present themselves for the inauguration of the Delta State Executive Committee slated for Friday July 20 at the party secretariat , 454 Nnebisi Road, Asaba.
