The President (Capoon) of National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity), XKRAVOS DECK, Prince Tunde Fregene, has tasked parents to properly monitor their children, saying there is 70% possibility that children not properly monitored by parents, would derail.
Prince Fregene, gave the charge in Warri, Delta State, Saturday October 4, during the ‘Back-to-School (Bridging the Gap) Project as well as Campaign against Drug Abuse and Homelessness, put together by XKRAVOS DECK (covering Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas) in collaboration with Konamera Deck of National Association of Seadogs, NAS.

Whilst noting that companion a child keeps, also affects the child’s upbringing, Prince Fregene, asserted: “Don't allow people teach you (referring to the children) how to taste what you don't know.
“Always report to your parents, especially your mother. Colorado don destroy more than 60% of our youths today. Parents, please don't buy devices for your children and wards, for them to partake in yahoo (cyber fraud).
“Be friends to your children, so that they can always share their experiences and worries to you.”
In his keynote remarks, Hon. Misan Ukubeyinje Esq., explained that the Back-to-School Project, is to remove underprivileged children from streets and ensure they acquire formal education.
He stated: “We came up with this project in the year 2013. This is just one of our pet projects. It's about fighting against discrimination and oppression, that's what NAS stands for.

“The NAS Street Child Project, is an initiative of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS) instituted in 2013, to address the significantly high rate of out-ot-school children in Nigeria, with UNESCO and UNICEF statistics, indicating that Nigeria accounts for 10.5 million of the 61 million "out of school children" worldwide as at 2013.
“If more children are in school, all sorts of crimes and drug abuse, would be reduced to the barest minimum, if not eliminated.”
The President (Capoon) of Konamera Deck (Dublin, Republic of Ireland) of National Association of Seadogs, NAS, Mr. Greg Oboh, who joined the event virtually, noted that the project was in-line with one of NAS’ humanistic projects, targeted at assisting out-of-school children.

He urged children to be wise, listen to the words of wise ones and elderly people, whilst noting that the educational support materials presented, would help the children’s academic pursuit.
“We will collaborate with XKRAVOS DECK on bigger projects”, Mr. Oboh, assured.

Highlights of the brief ceremony, were the presentation of notebooks and school bags to 13 under-privileged children, by key leaders of National Association of Seadogs and responses by three parents (vis-a-vis, Daje Ajoritsedebi, Gloria Temiyaghan and Daniel Oyowe) of some of the beneficiaries.
