Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Michael Tidi has reassured workers of Warri South Local Government Council that their welfare is paramount to his administration, promising to continually implement policies that will improve the working environment.
Dr. Tidi who gave the assurance Tuesday April 30 in his Workers' Day brief, challenged staffers of Warri South Council on the need to be more inventive in the task of shoring up internally generated revenue of the council, so as to enable his administration meet its obligation to both workers and people of Warri South Local Government Area.
According to the Warri South Council Boss, implementation of the much anticipated new minimum wage, will require the collective efforts of all stakeholders, especially against the backdrop of volatility in the price of crude oil at the International Market vis-a- vis its impact on monthly allocations from the federation account.
