No fewer than 8 persons have been reportedly killed following a cult clash between unknown rival groups in Auchi polytechnic, Etsako West Local Government Area in Edo State.
It was learnt that the victims were killed in different locations during the clash between the unknown confraternity.
According to source, the clash has been ongoing for over a week.
One of the victims, Jimson Okafor an HND 1 student of the Department of Fashion Design and Clothing Technology was said to have gone out with his friend on Saturday September 21 and never returned. This got his lodge mate worried and they went in search of him but couldn't find him.
The Source who is also a student of the same Department with the deceased, revealed that the late Jimson Okafor and his friend was found dead in a bush.
Others were reportedly hit by stray bullets.
The cause of the clash is still unknown
According to the source, one of the cultists was heard saying, "Rector go tire for this one, both cultists and innocent, we will kill anyone we see".
As at the time of filling this report, Fresh Angle International was unable to get the Commissioner of Police or the Public Relations Officer of the Auchi Polytechnic to confirm the alleged deaths.
