An inferno allegedly caused by electricity has wrecked havoc in Ogbe-Ijoh Market in Warri, Delta State, Fresh Angle can report.
The fire which reportedly started at about 12:30am Saturday January 11 razed down all the shops from the Warri Main Market end to the mini bridge leading to the popular Mciver Market in Warri.
Our Correspondent who was at the scene of the inferno 8:39am Saturday January 11, that is about six hours after the fire started, reports that there were still pockets of flame and fire fighters who tried to put off the inferno had to give up after exhausting seven trucks of water intended to stop the fire from causing further havoc.
Reports say a few shops that were spared close to the jetty were burgled by hoodlums.
Provision, clothing, saloon, tailoring as well as fish shops measuring an estimated 100 by 100 meters of landmass was affected by the fire which damaged properties valued at several millions of naira.

Many of the victims who were in apparent shock were counting their loses when Fresh Angle visited the scene.
It would be recalled that the same market was gutted by fire sometime in 2012 and the traders were yet to recover from their losses before the fresh fire outbreak.
