PDP Chieftain tasks EPZ Committee on peace building

An environmentalist and chieftain of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, David Omaghomi has tasked members of the newly inaugurated EPZ Interface Committee to consolidate the peace building process facilitated by both the federal and Delta state governments so as to ensure the actualization of the legacy EPZ project at Ogidigben, Warri South-West local government.

The PDP chieftain who is also the Principal Consultant to Environmental Restoration Foundation of Nigeria, ERFON averred that following the successful inauguration of the 21-member EPZ Interface Committee, comprising of hitherto feuding factions of Ugborodo Community Trust, members should now redirect their energies toward the eventual ground breaking ceremony of the EPZ as well as ensure that their loyalists refrain from publications that will dent the peace process.

Mr. Omaghomi who spoke in Warri through his Media Aide, Ebipade Omatseye commended President Goodluck Jonathan for initiating the EPZ project and Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for facilitating the peace process and  creating the enabling environment for the mega project to thrive.

 “I must particularly commend President Goodluck Jonathan for bringing the EPZ project to Warri South-West local government area after the NIMASA Dockyard and Shipyard project as well as the Nigerian Maritime University Gbaramatu. Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s resolution of the Ugborodo leadership tussle via the incorporation of the various interests in the Ugborodo leadership crisis in the EPZ Interface Committee is also worthy of commendation and places huge burden on the principal actors”, Omaghomi opined.
