Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, Dr. Michael E. Tidi, has felicitated with people of Warri South on the occasion of the celebration of Nigeria's 60th Independence anniversary tomorrow, Thursday October 1, saying greatness awaits Nigerians with the foundation being laid by government at all levels.
In a syndicated Independence anniversary message released Wednesday September 30, the Warri South Local Government Chief Executive, opined that the symbolic representation of the number 60 as Diamond, was an indication that the time for Nigeria as a country to shine amongst the comity of Nations has come.
While acknowledging that Nigerians and other Nationals living in the country are not enjoying the best of times in terms of socio - economic reality, particularly against the backdrop of the slowdown effect of the Coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Tidi expressed optimism that the current challenges would result in unearthing the creative potentials of Nigerians.
He advised people of Warri South Local Government Area, to consolidate on the prevailing peace and unity in the area, emphasising that maintaining the hospitable atmosphere Warri is now known for, would fast - track the much desired infrastructural and socio - economic transformation.
