As the 2014 World Cup in Brazil gets underway from June 12 through July 13, 2014, Our Editor-In-Chief, Metsese Anthony Ebule, in his usual refreshing angle take a cursory analysis of four of the biggest and most in-form world class stars that will be missing in action.
Gareth Bale: This Real Madrid big money-buy who plays for his native Wales is arguably the biggest miss of Brazil 2014 World Cup, no thanks to the non-qualification of his country for the mundial.
Gareth is the quickest, most speedy and sharpest wide-attacking player today in world football. He is unassuming, aerially strong and an all-round team player with incredible work-rate. No doubt, football neutrals around the globe will miss lightening and breathtaking pace in Brazil.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Like Gareth Bale, Zlatan Ibrahimovicis another top-draw striker that will not be showcasing his God-given talent at Brazil 2014.
The world will certainly miss his elegance, skill and exceptional technical ability-no thanks to Sweden’s non qualification at the expense of Christiano Ronaldo’s Portugal during the two legged play-off.

Frank Ribery: This French born Bayern Munich attacking winger who narrowly missed winning the Ballon d’Or (world footballer of the year) has been ruled out from the France squad due to a nagging lower back pain injury. His last minute exclusion will certainly take some spice off “Le Blues” in Brazil and further weaken their chances.
Ribery is an industrious and dashing left wing player, who can improve the fortune of any football team he plays for.

Carlos Tevez: He is one of the world’s most rugged and industrious front-men, his ability is so immense that even with an average team,Carlos Tevez can make the difference. Unlike Gareth Bale, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Frank Ribery that are ruled out from the world cup due to their country’s non-qualification and injury, Carlos Tevez will not be featuring for his native Argentina at the world cup due to the array of intimidating attacking talents his country has to offer.
His omission as part of Argentina’s team to the world cup took his admirers across the world by surprise. His work rate and growing maturity as a team player will be solely missed in Brazil.
