Nigerian - born President of African Development Bank, AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina, has raised concern, warning that terrorism is shrinking Africa's investment space.
The AfDB President, who described insecurity as the number one challenge to Africa's development in a series of tweets in the wee hours of today, Tuesday March 2, said insecurity was no longer a political, but economic issue.
According to him, Africans must no longer decouple security and development, but ensure security stability in the continent.
He emphasised that Africa needs new financial instruments to protect and secure investments in countries and regions against rising insecurity.
