Boko Haram insurgency is a failure of leadership-NAS

Participants  at this years’ Feast of Barracuda, FOB, organized by the National Association of Seadogs, NAS, a.k.a Pyrates Confraternity  have stated that the continued successes being achieved by the Boko Haram insurgents is an indication of leadership failure by successive government in the country.

The participants made this observation at the event after a brainstorming interactive session jointly put together by decks in the Area 7 of NAS comprising Urhiapele, Umalokun, Xcravos, Rainbow and Hybrid decks respectively.

The FOB event with the Theme: “National Security and its Consequences; The Boko Haram Saga” had the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya as Chairman, Senator Ighoyota Amori as Special Guest and AIG Musa A. Dura of Zone 5, Benin City, Edo State as Guest Speaker amongst other important dignitaries.

They posited that failure by past and present leaders including budding politicians to retrieve arms and ammunition issued to their thugs to disseminate nuisance during electioneering periods to achieve their selfish political goals were what is now being deployed against innocent Nigerians in a more organized and gruesome fashion, noting that lack of political will to crush these miscreants early enough have become the bane of Nigeria today.

They charged all Nigerians to be more vigilant at all times as the challenge posed by the Boko Haram sect cannot be left in the hands of security agents alone, saying that adequate information must be passed on to the top echelon of the security outfit to safeguard informants and pre-empt monumental disaster and unwarranted death through suicide bombers.
