Internal Road Construction: Okere Urhobo people are indebted to Okowa- Governor’s Aide
The Project Engineers briefing Governor Okowa

The immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC and current Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Affairs, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru says Okere- Urhobo people in Warri South Local Government Area are indebted to the Okowa administration for ensuring speedy construction of Otor- Orere road project after it was abandoned by the former contractor under the last administration.

The Governor’s Aide averred that Dr. Okowa’s order to the contractor handling the project to ensure that it is completed before the raining season, speaks of a visionary and people-centred leadership which all well meaning Deltans must support regardless of their ethnic divide.

Mr. Opuoru who spoke to Our Correspondent in Warri shortly after Governor Okowa inspected road projects in Delta Central and South Senatorial districts, noted that apart from linking Okere-Urhobo to its neighbouring communities in Warri, the fast-pace construction of the Otor-Orere road has revitalized socio-economic life in Okere- Urhobo and by extension Warri South Local Government Area.
