Tribunal affirmed the wish of Deltans - PDP Chieftain, Ikpere speaks of Governor Oborevwrori's victory

Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party in Eghoro Ward 4, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta state, Comrade Jolomi Ikpere, says the unified decision of the Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, upholding the election of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwrori as Governor of Delta state, affirmed the wish of majority of Deltans.                                      

The three - man Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal headed by Chibuzo Ahuchaogu, earlier today upheld the election of Governor Oborevwrori, dismissing the petition filed by former Deputy Senate President and Delta State All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate in the March 2023 elections, Senator Ovie Omo - Agege, saying the petition lacked merit.

Comrade Ikpere, a Warri North Chairmanship hopeful in the forthcoming Delta State Local Government Poll, asserted: "The fact that there was no contrary position amongst the three - man panel, showed that Senator Ovie Omo - Agege, had no case and ought not to have filed the petition.                                   

"The recent award of major flyover contracts in the Warri - Effurun axis to construction giant, Julius Berger PLC by Governor Oborevwrori, is a further testament that Governor Oborevwrori is not just the mandate of Deltans, but the will of God for the state. This is the first time since the creation of Delta state that Julius Berger PLC would be handling projects in the state.                        

 " I want to call on Senator Ovie Omo - Agege and other members of the opposition political parties in the state, to join hands with Governor Oborevwrori in building the Delta state of our dream."
