The Lagos State Fire Service has disclosed that a six-year-old girl was burnt to death in a church in the early hours of today June 11, 2016 in Egbeda Area of the State.
The Director of the Service, Mr. Rasak Fadipe, said that the incident occurred at about 2 a.m. at Faith Revival Church, Vanguard reports.
Fadipe further disclosed that the inferno happened in the boys’ quarters of the church while a vigil was going on at the main auditorium.
He said, “We met the fire raging when we arrived. It was after the fire was put off that we discovered the little girl’s burnt body in one of the rooms. The fire was finally put off at about 5:00am.”
The church authority was yet to ascertain the cause of the fire as at the time of this report.
