Ibori, Uduaghan, Omo-Agege stood by me tenaciously – Onovwakpo Thomas, reveals

The member representing Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Joel Onovwakpo Thomas, has revealed that two former governors of Delta State; Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, as well as the immediate past Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, stood by him ‘tenaciously” and gave him all the support he needed during his “trying period.”

Fresh Angle International, reports that Senator Onovwakpo Thomas, who made the revelation in a wee-hours of today, Friday November 3, in a statement on his X Handle, added: “My appreciation and gratitude goes to ArchBishop Christian Aggrey Apena of blessed memory, who hosted the first meeting by calling on Christians in Isoko and Delta South to support this ambition and He nominated Bishop Sam Oyede to lead other men of God to stand with me in prayers. I am grateful to all of you for making yourselves a vessels in the Hands of God.”

The Senator, further noted: “The electoral process journey we started on the 27th of April, 2022, for me to represent you as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has come to a successful end and to God be all the glory.

“The Court of Appeal in the judgement passed on Wednesday, 1st of November, 2023 affirmed the mandate you gave me as the duly elected Senator to represent you, the good people of Delta South Senatorial District. On this note, I want to thank God Almighty, the giver of all gifts, who, by His grace, I achieved this. May His name be praised now and forever, AMEN.

“My sincere appreciation goes to His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Vice President, His Excellency Alhaji Kashim Shettima, GCON for their support. I want to assure you of my full support and cooperation, to give Nigerians the RENEWED HOPE that we promised them. I am sure that things will be better for Nigerians.

“There are many people dear to my heart I cannot mention their names here for certain reasons, who played very significant roles, putting in their all, their very best for the actualization of this dream (you know yourselves).
