DESOPADEC Contractors Commend Oborevwori Over Investments In Infrastructure


DESOPADEC Indigenous Contractors Forum has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his commitment in meeting up with his campaign promises as regards investments in critical infrastructures.

 

Speaking with Journalists in Warri, Chairman of the forum, Engineer Ogie Samson described the Governor's moves so far as a deliberate and aggressive effort to catalyse investment across the state and build new infrastructure that would attract more investors. 

 

He stressed that despite the challenges facing businesses and investments in the country, Governor Oborevwori's administration has been serving as an enabler for them to remain in business.

 

Samson noted that the Governor's MORE Agenda is gradually becoming a reality with several infrastructural projects ongoing and others slated for take off.

 

"Looking at the government activities in the state and relationship between indigenous contractors forum and DESOPADEC board then need to appreciate his excellency Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for positive efforts so far for indigenes who are contractors. 

 

This development, with contractors going to site and other ministries working, coupled with the past projects facing speedy completion, it is a clear fact that the more agenda of Rt  Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori means more positive development for all deltans. 

 

"We understand the political struggles among political leaders in the state, but we also believe that the good of the masses are major priorities to every good political stakeholder and leaders", he added.

 

The chairman of DESOPADEC Indigenous Contractors therefore appealed to political leaders and Deltans generally to continue with the good initiative of assisting Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to power the state to greater heights.

 

Ogie decried the recent killings of soldiers, Indigenes and burning down of villages and pleaded with parties involved to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign in the state.

 

He noted that it was only in an atmosphere of peace that development can come to Delta State and solicited for peaceful co-existence amongst the various ethnic groups in the state.
