We have the same red blood cells - Warri based Christian cleric, Agbolayah tells racists

The Bishop in-charge of the African Church, Warri Central Diocese, Bishop Best Odeworitse Agbolayah, has advised persons promoting racism in the form of colour, ethnic, religious and political discrimination, to stop forthwith, saying, “we have the same red blood cells, flowing in our veins.”

Bishop Agbolayah, who gave the advice, today, Wednesday April 10, during an exclusive telephone chat with Fresh Angle International, explained that racism can only be erased when we see our neighbours as equal and realize that the colour of our skin, is just the colour God designed for us.

When asked about his advice to religious and political leaders in the country, the famous cleric, asserted: “To religious leaders, it is our spiritual responsibility to keep praying for the nation and give advice where necessary. Many of us as religious people, want to help God, instead of allowing God help us. I see no reason why a Christian should fight a Muslim when we have the same grandparents and profess to worship the same God.

“To our political leaders, they should realize they are there to serve and not to enrich themselves with money meant for the development of their constituency. Look at Abia State today, I think all the other state governors, should go and understudy him. Though some are working in their individual states, before now, we thought that 24 hours power supply was not possible, but we have all been proven wrong. Remove self from all we do and our country will be a great nation.”

On the responsibility parents and guardians have towards the mentorship of children and youth for future leadership, Bishop Agbolayah, posited: “Not until the Senior Pastor travels that the Junior Pastor, will realize that his boss has been under serious fire. He will always say I can do it even more than my boss. The Younger ones need to understand mentorship. The parents also need to enlighten their children, that it is not all glitter, that is gold. If these are taken cognizance of, everyone will know where they belong and how to study and prepare for their time.”
