Warri South Council Dissolves Revenue Committees

The executive of Warri South Local Government Council, Warri has dissolved of all revenue committees for 2016.

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema who made the disclosure shortly after the council’s executive meeting held Wednesday December 28, explained that the dissolution does not affect the Consultant in-charge of collection of tenement rate for companies, Ben Akporaye & Co and the Consultant responsible for sale of vehicle stickers.

Hon. Edema stressed that members of the affected revenue committees, including those in-charge of collection of tenement rates for residential buildings should comply with the directive with immediate effect and handover the council properties in their possession to the relevant authorities.

The Warri South Council Boss admonished people of the local government to stay-action pending the constitution of new revenue committees for 2017 to avoid double taxation.

Meanwhile, the Consultant in-Charge of collection of vehicle stickers for Warri South Local Government Area, Jehobless Nigeria Enterprises, says payment for Tricycle Operational Stickers for 2017 as well as sale of stickers for company and commercial vehicles has commenced.

According to a statement by the consulting firm, owners of tricycles, commercial vehicles and companies doing business in Warri South Local Government Area have up till two weeks from Thursday December 29 to purchase their stickers.

The statement warned against purchase of vehicle and tricycle stickers from unauthorized persons to avoid double taxation.
