Two suspected criminals (male) were apprehended at the Palace of His Royal Highness, the Owhorode of Olomu Kngdom by vigilante of Olomu on Friday January 13 in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, Our Delta Central Correspondent reports.
Our Correspondent reports that the suspects, both from Ughelli South Local Government Area, gave their names as Kingsley Onome and Onoriode Okpagba.
Speaking to Newsmen, one of the suspects, Kingsley Onome said they are three men gang and they move from one party to another to rob their victims of money and handsets. He said, “we are three in number and we ask Okoda men for party locations during weekends, we strategize and we go there to strike”.
Kingsley who had a big injury on one of his legs, said, he lives on stealing as he has no other business of survival. He said, “I have no other means of survival ,” according to him, “I was initiated by one of my friend, adding, before this new business, I was engaged as a bus conductor, I had an accident on one of my trips to Belyelsa State which brought about the injury on my leg”.
Reacting to the development, the Secretary of Olomu Vigilante Group, OVG, Comrade Anthony Udomebraye said, the suspects have been terrorizing the area for some time now and the vigilante have been on their trail, adding, nemesis have caught up with them. The kingdom is a peaceful place and not for criminals, we are determined to catch more of them, any of them caught will face the wrath of the law.
