The maiden Congress of Fresh Angle International Newspaper Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ held in Warri, Delta State, Wednesday July 31, with deliberations on how to make the chapel professionally top-notch, headlining the agenda.
Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Chapel, Mrs. Yvonne Suowari, who presided over the Congress, noted that members emphasized the imperative of capacity building through training and retraining as well as exhibiting good work ethic at all times.
She disclosed that arrangements were also in place to elect a substantive exco for the chapel within the next two months, noting that the resolve to restore the dignity of Journalism, by encouraging members to practice creative reporting, is paramount to the chapel leadership.
A member of the Caretaker Committee of the chapel, Comrade Chimaobi Jose Nzoromobi, Comr. Elizabeth Adojor and Ebule Anthony Metsese, were among members of the chapel that attended the inaugural Congress.
