The Tony Elumelu Foundation, says it has empowered over 3,300 young women entrepreneurs across Africa, who have created tens of thousands of additional decent jobs across the continent, through partnership with the European Union, EU.
Fresh Angle International, understands that the CEO, Tony Elumelu Foundation, Somachi Chris-Asoluka made the revelation, Tuesday January 28, when he played host to the Head of the European Union Head of Cooperation, covering EU engagement in Nigeria & ECOWAS, Massimo De Luca.
The meeting, discussed expansion of the existing partnership with the European Union to empower even more entrepreneurs across Nigeria and across the continent.
Somachi Chris-Asoluka, disclosed in a post Wednesday January 29, via the Foundation’s X handle: “Through our partnership with the EU, we have empowered over 3,300 young women entrepreneurs across Africa who have created tens of thousands of additional decent jobs across the continent.
“Many of these women entrepreneurs have also each secured additional funding of up to €50,000 through our second stage partnership with the EU through the Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (WE4A) Programme.
“We remain committed to our mission of empowering a new generation of young entrepreneurs who will increase job creation, drive poverty alleviation and ensure inclusive economic opportunity.
