Emami Affirms: We know those who are APC in Abuja, PDP in Delta – We actually won the 2023 election in Warri South-West, Omo-Agege

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Ayirimi Emami, has accused some top members of the APC of putting themselves in a strategic position, to undo pillars of the party in Delta State, saying true leaders of the party in the state like him, know those who are APC in Abuja and PDP in Delta State.

Fresh Angle International, can report that Chief Emami, who vowed that they will not allow the perceived political saboteurs undo them ahead of the 2027 general elections, spoke at Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Sunday March 2, during a thank you gathering of party supporters, held at the instance of Delta State APC governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, Obasiri Ovie Omo-Agege.

He declared: “Make una nor join them, but watch them well. Tomorrow them go say result nor dey come from Delta South, we are going to print result this time, to prove how strong APC is in Warri South-West Local Government Area.

“Obarisi, (referring to Omo-Agege) Itsekiri no wan go for governor, I can assure you, because I nor dey take person thing dey do my own, if Itsekiri man come outside, I will go there and preach against am.”

Former Deputy Senate President and Delta State APC Governorship Candidate in the 2023 polls, Obasiri Ovie Omo-Agege, who addressed the teeming APC faithful, asserted: “Despite all of the challenges, we actually won the election in this local government (Warri South-West). You heard the Prime Minister (referring to Chief Ayirimi Emami) just now, about our results in Escravos (Ugborodo) and other places, where we won and won massively.

“I want to plead with una abeg make una let us know who be APC and who nor be APC, so that when you bring appointment here all of us go clap for you. So make una no worry I feel your pain, time still dey, we will continue to use all means possible to reach Mr President.

“Once we reconcile reach 85%, that will carry us reach presidency, government house Asaba, Senate and Rep. People dey complain everyday, we come from Warri South-West, Warri North, but make we no forget say for election na choice them dey make o, it's either APC or PDP abi nor be so?

“For Delta State, the money wey dey come now, is about three times more than the money when dey here before. The time when Okowa be governor, Delta State don dey receive about four hundred million naira monthly from the federation account, but today, Delta State don receive over one trillion naira, people nor know say Tinubu bring over One trillion naira, but who no get light for him house, go say na Tinubu, everything when e happen, na Tinubu.

“Say the way we dey suffer for here na so we dey suffer across the State and because of that the gain when he (President Tinubu) make from the removal of fuel subsidy, he decided to send it to Delta State, but Sheriff no let una know say the money dey here.

“I want us to ask any PDP member we come across, where is our money, so make all of us come out to deliver APC 5/5 for the next elections.”

An APC Chieftain in Warri South-West, Dembo Dembofa, who also spoke during the gathering, blamed disunity among party members for the current state of APC in Delta State.

According to him, the challenges faced by the party, during the 2023 general elections, included funding, local governance concerns and lack of appointments. Whilst calling for unity and action amongst APC members, Dembofa, stated: “A major point raised is that the party allegedly funded the opposition, which negatively impacted the party's ability to compete effectively. This funding was reportedly misallocated to individuals, who were not foundational members of the APC, leaving true party members without resources.”
