Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri North Local Government Area, Comr. Jolomi Ikpere, has commended the Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Festus Ashima, for the strides he has so far recorded in infrastructural development as well as peace and security.

Comr. Ikpere, who is the Chairman of PDP, Eghoro Ward in Warri North Local Government Area, told Fresh Angle International in an exclusive telephone interview Tuesday March 4, that Hon. Ashima, has recorded monumental achievements since assuming office July 15, 2024.

He mentioned the accomplishments of the Warri North Council Boss, to include; the construction and commissioning of six blocks of 2-Bedroom flats, with Solar Power at Oboghoro community, completion of market in Koko, ongoing construction of office of the chairman at the Local Government Council Secretariat, reconstruction of the Chairman's Lodge, construction of the Legislative Arm, ongoing construction of Health Centre and Nurses' quarter at Eghoro community, complete execution of the canalization of Koko as well as the back-to-school programme.

On peace and security, Comr. Ikpere, recounted how Hon. Festus Ashima, on Thursday February 27, brokered peace between a multinational oil company, Enerog Energy Limited, Ogbudugbudu and Abadigbene communities, paving the way for the company to commence operation, after initial setback occasioned by the disagreement with the two Warri North communities.

He added: “Hon. Ashima, in his usual proactive policy drive, swiftly went to Eghoro community last Friday, on hearing speculation that the community, was allegedly burnt down and discovered that it was false alarm.
