The Warri South Legislative Arm on Friday July 18, endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac for a second term in office.
The endorsement, which was carried out following unanimous voice vote by members of the House, came after the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, unveiled detailed stewardship of his administration within one year in office, as encapsulated in G.R.A.C.E, a vertebral column of his MORE GRACE Agenda.
Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Joy Ejumudo, who presided over the special plenary, wherein Comr. Agbateyiniro read his administration’s ‘State of the Local Government Address’, explained that the decision by the House to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori and Comr. Agbateyiniro, for second term, was consequent upon the excellent performance of the trio as Chief Executives at the Federal, State and Local Government levels.
The Warri South Local Government Boss, whilst presenting his scorecard before the councillors, prominent political leaders in Warri South and critical stakeholders, disclosed that his administration, has engaged a team of engineers to immediately commence the reconstruction of over 73 shops recently engulfed by inferno at the densely populated Igbudu Market, Warri.

While stating that preliminary works had begun for construction of the affected shops, Comr. Agbateyiniro, asserted that the rebuilding of the shops will go side-by-side with reconstruction of a building recently burnt at Odion Road, Warri.
“I must thank the engineering, industrious and hardworking Governor of our Dear State, whom I regard as my mentor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for presenting me first with an opportunity to serve in his cabinet as Honourable Commissioner for Youths Development and then a massive support to become the Warri South Local Government Chairman. Your Excellency, I am very grateful”, Agbateyiniro averred.

Today marks a significant milestone in our journey to define exceptional grassroots governance in Warri South Local Government Area. It is vitally important to note that this administration clocked one-year in Office, Tuesday July 15 and I must not fail to thank God Almighty for the successful journey thus far.

Let me seize this opportunity to inform us that the recent fire outbreak at Igbudu Market is troubling and as a responsive Government, we have engaged our team of engineers to immediately commence the reconstruction of the over 73 affected shops. As we speak, preliminary works are ongoing an in no distant time, we will complete it. it is also important to inform us that we are also seeking relevant means to provide financial support to the affected traders. Go side by side with a burnt building at Odion Road
It is also on record that the Warri South Local Government, through the Legislative Arm have passed various Bills into law.
The Bills, include;
1. A Bye-law to prohibit pasting of posters on road separator kerbs, beautification on roundabouts, road pavement, pedestrian and flyover bridges in Warri South Local Government Council.
2. The Warri South Local Government Review Tariff 2025 and fines in pursuant to section 7.5 of 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
3. The procurement of road traffic violations in Warri South Local Government Council.
4. The Warri South Local Government Property And Investment Development Board.
Significantly, a major legacy project of the Warri Atlantic City ( 9th wonder of the World) is progressing at the Ifiekporo community.
It is also important to note that the MORE GRACE Agenda, has performed exceptionally well, hence, over 10 awards, including a recent national award at the National Merit House Abuja, was bestowed on me as an outstanding local government chairman in Nigeria. These awards, were recognition of the collective efforts of the Executive Council, the Legislative Arm and the Civil Service class of Warri South Local Government Council

I must not fail to thank His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, for giving me the opportunity to serve in recent past as member of the State Executive Council and now Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area.
