History, with its unerring sense of irony, often crowns the true builders of nations not merely with glory but also with the wreaths of betrayal.
In the story of Bangladesh, no figure embodies this truth more poignantly than Her People’s Majesty Sheikh Hasina—the daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, torchbearer of the Liberation War’s unfulfilled promises, and the visionary stateswoman whose stewardship transformed Bangladesh into a rising star of the Global South. Her downfall, orchestrated on 5 August 2024 by the sinister machinations of the American deep state CIA, Pakistan’s rogue ISI, and their local henchmen—Dr. Yunus, Waker, the Jamaati-Shibir butchers, and the BNP, that illegitimate political offspring conceived in the Dhaka cantonment—marks one of the darkest chapters of modern history.
Yet, the truth remains unvarnished and undying: only Sheikh Hasina can restore Bangladesh’s battered soul and guide her people once again toward glory.
The Hasina Era: A Saga of Unprecedented Progress
When Sheikh Hasina assumed office in 2009, Bangladesh was shackled by poverty, corruption, and infrastructural stagnation. What followed over the next fifteen years was nothing short of a national renaissance. Under her leadership, Bangladesh graduated from the ranks of least developed countries to a lower-middle-income nation, a feat the World Bank hailed as “a remarkable story of development.”
Economic Miracle: Bangladesh’s GDP growth averaged 6–7% annually, outpacing regional peers. Hasina’s model emphasized inclusive growth, empowering rural economies through micro-credit, digitization, and agricultural modernization. Nobel laureate Amartya Sen once remarked, “Few nations in the post-colonial world have lifted so many from poverty so quickly.”
Infrastructure Revolution: The construction of the Padma Bridge, despite the World Bank’s politically motivated withdrawal, stands as Hasina’s enduring monument of defiance and vision. The bridge now connects 30 million people, unlocking economic potential worth billions annually. The metro rail in Dhaka, nuclear power projects, and digital connectivity transformed Bangladesh from a backwater to an aspirant in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Social Progress: Women’s empowerment reached new heights. From garments to grassroots governance, women became central to national progress. Education, health, and life expectancy indices soared. Sheikh Hasina championed what she termed “Digital Bangladesh”, ensuring access to technology in even the remotest hamlets.
Global Voice: Under her, Bangladesh became a moral beacon in international diplomacy—sheltering over one million Rohingya refugees while speaking boldly against climate injustice at global summits. Her leadership gave Bangladesh a stature unimaginable a generation ago.
In Hasina’s Bangladesh, the spirit of Joy Bangla was reborn—not as a nostalgic cry but as a living ethos of collective progress.
The Coup of 2024: A Treacherous Plot Against Sovereignty
But history’s villains never rest. On 5 August 2024, Sheikh Hasina was toppled in a conspiracy hatched thousands of miles away in the shadowy corridors of Langley and Rawalpindi. The CIA, guardian of American imperialism’s darkest intrigues, and Pakistan’s ISI, the butcher’s hand of 1971, found eager collaborators in Dhaka.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus, masquerading as a humanitarian, revealed himself as a pliant puppet of foreign interests. His ascension on 8 August 2024, flanked by the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami killers, and opportunistic factions of the extreme left and right, marked the beginning of Bangladesh’s descent into chaos.
The coup was not merely political; it was existential. It sought to erase the legacy of Bangabandhu, silence the spirit of 1971, and reduce Bangladesh to a pawn on the geopolitical chessboard of Washington.
As Sheikh Hasina herself once warned, “Imperialism never sleeps; it only changes masks.”
Bangladesh After Hasina: A Nation in Bleeding Exile
The aftermath of her overthrow has been catastrophic.
Economy in Ruin: Growth has stalled, inflation soared, and foreign investors fled. The once-promising “Bangladesh Miracle” lies in tatters, replaced by kleptocracy under Yunus’s yes-man regime.
Terror Unleashed: Jamaati-Shibir militants roam emboldened, minorities live in fear, and extremist networks flourish under state patronage. Bangladesh, once a bulwark against terrorism, now teeters on the brink of becoming its new epicenter.
Moral Collapse: Where Hasina’s governance gave dignity, Yunus’s misrule has bred despair. Blood runs in the streets, while the puppet government parrots Washington’s dictates, sacrificing sovereignty at the altar of geopolitical expedience.
Indeed, Bangladesh today bleeds ceaselessly, her wounds unhealed, her cries unheard.
The Indispensability of Sheikh Hasina
Yet amidst this despair, the people know one truth: Sheikh Hasina is not merely a leader—she is Bangladesh itself.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said of leaders who become synonymous with their nations, “They are the spirit of their people in human form.” Sheikh Hasina is that spirit for Bangladesh—unyielding, visionary, and rooted in the blood-soaked soil of 1971.
Her epic development saga proves that she alone possesses the experience, the will, and the legitimacy to steer the ship of state through stormy waters. Every Padma Bridge, every digital hub, every empowered girl child is a testament to her capacity to dream—and to deliver.
No foreign-backed usurper, no puppet of Langley or Rawalpindi, no comprador elite can embody this role. It is only Sheikh Hasina who can rescue Bangladesh from its present despoiled state and return her to a path of dignity and greatness. We must welcome her back to Bangladesh whole-heartedly to retake the helm of Bangladesh.
Terminus Point: The Eternal Flame of Joy Bangla
Bangladesh stands today at a historic crossroad. Betrayed by its enemies, bloodied by conspiracies, and shackled by a puppet regime, the nation cries out for salvation. The answer lies not in Washington or Islamabad, not in the court of Dr. Yunus or the BNP, or the Jamaati-Shibir butchers but in the unyielding flame of Sheikh Hasina.
Her life, like her father’s, has been one of sacrifice for her people. And just as the spirit of Joy Bangla could not be extinguished in 1971, so too the vision of Hasina cannot be erased by coups or conspiracies.
To paraphrase the immortal words of Tagore: “You cannot cage the sky, nor chain the song of a people.”
Sheikh Hasina is the song of Bangladesh. She is the architect of its epic development, the guardian of its sovereignty, and the only leader who can restore its bleeding soul. And history, though wounded today, will one day justify her as the eternal lifeline of her beloved Bangladesh.
Joy Bangla. Joy Bangabandhu. Joytu Sheikh Hasina.
