A former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who recently dumped the ruling party due to perceived imposition, Dr. Michael Merogun, has picked the Warri South Constituency I Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC ticket.
Dr. Merogun, clinched the NDC ticket Friday May 29 in Warri, after polling a massive 1,612 votes to defeat his fellow contestant, Louis Olomuro, who garnered 633 votes.
Speaking to Our Principal Correspondent, shortly after he was declared winner, Dr. Merogun, commended the process and his supporters in the NDC for their massive turnout, assuring people of Warri South Constituency I of good representation, if given the mandate to represent the constituency come 2027.
While pledging to work for the progress of Warri South Constituency 1, Dr. Merogun, stated: “Warri South Constituency I, have not had good representation for some years, hence I am the one they have been yearning for, to represent the constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.”
