Labour Party Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency, Christopher Omeresan Slater, has charged the electorates in Odion and Atse - Olu communities, Warri South Local Government Area, to change the narrative in the incoming 2027 elections by voting for him, saying past and present leaders in the constituency have done nothing for them.

He told people of the two communities to vote out " opportunists" assuring them of quality representation if given the mandate in the forthcoming January 2027 elections.

The Labour Party Candidate, who gave the charge Friday October 16, when he led members of his campaign team to Odion and Atse - Olu communities, urged those yet to collect their PVC to do so, telling them to protect their votes on election day.

The Olori - Ebi of Atse - Olu Community, Pa Ogedegbe Macdonald, who reportedly received Mr. Slater with joy, advised him to concentrate on his campaign, saying success will be his.

The Provost of Atse - Olu Community, Pajiah Odeworitse, said they want a younger person to represent Warri Federal Constituency, demanding assurances from Slater that he would not be amongst the old rulers, who disappeared after getting electoral mandates.

Madam Iyabo Erewa, spoke in the same vein on behalf of women of Atse - Olu community.

At Merogun, Ugbomaru and Essi Layout areas in Warri, Mr. Slater, accused the old leaders of leading the people into poverty, underdevelopment, struggle and lack of education.

He pleaded with women in the area to help him solicit for votes from eligible voters, in order to ensure he secures victory at the poll.

The Chairman of Merogun Community, Mr. Emmanuel Merogun, Secretary of Essi Layout Community, Mr. Henry Odaware and Mrs. Alero Ojulu, woman leader of Ugbomaru Community, stressed the need for the Labour Party Candidate not to behave like others, by staying away from the constituents if elected.

Our Co Publisher/ Managing Editor, reports that the chairman of Labour Party in Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Jude Odibei, were among Labour Party leaders that joined Slater during the campaign visits to the densely populated Warri urban communities.
