Poor Power Supply: Protesters block  entry/ exit into Effurun, WARRI
Protesters carrying big banner to express their anger


 

Hundreds of residents in Warri, Effurun and environs, today blocked the Effurun Roundabout to protest against what they described as epileptic and non -availability of electricity supply by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC, Our  Correspondents report.

 

The protesters march round major streets and roads in Effurun, before blocking the popular entrance to Warri, thus causing serious traffic gridlock in Warri, Effurun, Udu and its surrounding towns.

                                                                                                                   

The epileptic power supply have grounded economic activities in Delta South and Delta Central Senatorial Districts.

 

The Protestants carried BIG banners with the inscription "No light, no road", “Funke Osibadu must go", “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" and No more rationing", 

 

Both the roundabout, flyover and bypass were blocked by the angry protesters as at the time of filling this report.
