The immediate past Commissioner, Special Duties, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC and Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Affairs, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru has declared that majority of Urhobos in Delta Central and beyond are solidly behind Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in his quest at developing all parts of Delta State irrespective of ethnic linens.
The Governor's Aide made the declaration Friday April 22 at Oghara, headquarters of Ethiope West Local Government Area during Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Delta Central Senatorial District victory reception in honour of the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
Mr. Matthew Opuoru while speaking to Our Correspondent in an exclusive chat, enumerated some of Dr. Okowa's achievements within the short time he has been in office to include completion of Jeddo Road in Okpe Local Government Area, expansion of Refinery Junction by Shaguolo in Uvwie Local Government Area, construction of internal road in Okere-Urhobo, Warri South Local Government Area, empowerment of youths in Agriculture and other skills, educational development programmes as well as fixing of failed portions in both federal and State roads across the state.
He assured that Governor Okowa will complete all ongoing road projects in the state in record time and advised all Urhobo sons and daughters to continually support Dr. Okowa.
