Agbeyegbe emerges new Warri South PDP Chairman, Secretary’s position unclear

Former Political Assistant to ex-Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and well known grassroots politician, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe has emerged the new Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for Warri South Local Government Area after the local government congress of the party held Thursday May 5.

Fresh Angle International learned that Mr. Agbeyegbe emerged favourite among two other contenders, including Mr. Erebo Lori, a staunch loyalist of Hon. Daniel Reyenieju, member representing Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

A former Councilor in Warri South Local Government Council, Hon. Marvis Onojeghwo is now the new Vice Chairman of the party in Warri South, while controversy still trails the choice of Secretary as at the time of this report. It was reliably gathered that the two party stalwarts, Rev. David Otofia and Okiemute Akporaye were nominated for the position zoned to the Urhobos of Warri, but authoritative sources within the party confided in Fresh Angle International that the party leadership was yet to make a decision on who becomes the new party scribe.

Other members of the new executive are Amejuma Egbe- Assistant Secretary, Frank Apoh- Treasurer, Sylvester Ijabor- Financial Secretary, Godly Onotor- Youth Leader, Grace Yomere- Women Leader, Emmanuel Eminokanju- Organizing Secretary, Barr. Loyd Ibordor- Legal Adviser, Mrs. Lucky Timeliness- Ex Officio, Emmanuel Abigor- Publicity Secretary and Owolabi Ayo- Assistant Publicity Secretary.

Meanwhile PDP Leader in Warri South, ex-three time Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, former Commissioner and Aide to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Dr. Joseph Otumara has emerged the National delegate from Warri South in the forthcoming National Congress of the PDP.

The Management Committee that purportedly came up with the new PDP leadership for Warri South Local Government was chaired by Dr. Joseph Sisanmi Otumara. Members are Political Adviser to Governor Okowa, Hon. Omimi Esquire, Hon. Val Arenyeka, Delta State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Vincent Uduaghan, the two members of Delta State House of Assembly representing Warri South Constituencies, Hon. Omawunmi Udoh and Hon. Dennis Omovie, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba, Chief Israel Abido, Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema and the immediate past PDP Chairman, Warri South, Mr. Amah Agbajoh.
