Despite the paucity of fund, there was pump and pageantry today, May 27 at the Warri City Stadium, Warri, Delta State, when pupils and students from public and private schools in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State came out in thousands to celebrate this year’s Children’s Day.
The grandeur ceremony organized by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Warri, under the headship of Dr. Michael Emeshili was supported by the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Mofe Edema, Indigenous Oil and Gas Firm, Matrix Energy Limited, Promasidor-Makers of Indomie Noodles and Diamond Bank Plc.
Here are selected shots from the colourful ceremony which featured Match-Pass, Final of Dr. Emeshili (Chief Inspector of Education, Warri South) Cup as well as cultural dance by participating Primary and Secondary Schools. The Match-Pass was won by Police Children Primary School, Warri.
