According to him, what the command is doing now is advocacy and enlightenment on the need for them to install the devices in their vehicles. Hence, “the main enforcement of speed limits devices in vehicles by motorists will commence fully early 2017, but the actual day and month, I can’t tell”.

Corps Marshal Kehinde said those who are behind the issuance of fake driving license should desist  or face the full weight of the law as the command is liaising with Department of  Security Services (DSS) and other law enforcement agents  just as he said, those  already caught are facing trails in different courts across the country.

He advised road users to drive with care in this ember period for their safety and that of others, adding that the bad portions of the roads especially that of Asaba, Onitsha Express Way, Auchi Road in Edo State and other parts of the country will be rehabilitated as the command is partnering with relevant authorities, including Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FEMA) to have at least a palliative measure on the roads before the Christmas and the new year celebrations.

On his part, the Delta  State  Coordinator, Special Marshal of Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Dickson Amromahwe said,  as usual, on the  3rd of December  this year, the Delta State Command  will  mobilize all   their men to be in Asaba and other parts of the zones like Edo  and Anambra States to ensure that there is decongestion of traffic and safety of road users  both pedestrians  and motorists,  adding, they still have  to  work with other agencies who have been helping in this exercise   to ensure safety on the roads. He appealed to staff as well as Board members of Internal Revue to help in regards to the issuance of fake license.

Marshal Amromahwe said anybody caught driving recklessly on the road will be fined N50, 000 and his vehicle impounded.
